Zircon3D 3.0 introduces routing, custom room shapes, richer dashboards, and more ways to visualize your building and live sensor data.

New Features

Room-Level Heatmaps

Enable Room Heatmap to visualize a room using only its own sensors, independently of the default floor-level heatmap.

Data-Driven Room Box Views

Link rooms to monitoring data and configure color rules to display changing conditions, such as occupancy or temperature.

Per-Room Box View Visibility

Disable Box View for individual rooms, such as hallways, while keeping it enabled for other spaces.

Electrical Routing

Draw connections between equipment on the same floor, across multiple floors, or on the roof. Assign electrical roles to objects to make them available for routing.

Ground-Level Object Placement

Place equipment and other objects at ground level around your building.

Rooftop Equipment Placement

Mount supported objects on roof surfaces, including solar equipment.

Improved Touch Controls

Navigate more naturally on phones and tablets: use one finger to rotate or tilt the view, pinch with two fingers to zoom, and move two fingers together to pan.

Custom-Sized Solar Arrays

Use PV Array to create solar panel arrays with configurable rows, columns, panel dimensions, spacing, and materials.

Custom Room Shapes

Use Modify shape to extend rooms or cut away sections. Hold Shift while drawing to create edges at any angle.

Building Views in Dashboards

Add a View Profile tile to display a saved 3D building view inside your dashboard.

History Line Charts

Add Line Chart tiles to display sensor history and compare multiple properties over a selected period.

Gauge Thresholds

Configure gauge ranges and Yellow and Red thresholds to highlight changing sensor values.

Custom Property Icons

Choose icons, colors, and icon positions for Property tiles, with additional energy-related icons available.

Copy Rooms and Objects

Hold Ctrl while dragging to create copies, or use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy and paste rooms and objects.

Duplicate Dashboard Tiles

Hold Ctrl while dragging an existing dashboard tile to duplicate it with its settings.

Access editing hints, keyboard shortcuts, documentation, and video tutorials from Help in the bottom status bar.

Improvements

Expanded Visual Settings

Choose Soft, Normal, or None for shadows, toggle floor reflections and ambient occlusion, and adjust room-box opacity and geometry outlines.

Routing Display Controls

Use Show Ports and Show Routing to control routing overlays, including in saved View Profiles.

Improved Model Categories

Browse models through clearer categories to find suitable objects and equipment more easily.

Room-Aware Device Lists

Select a room to filter its device list. Selecting a device updates the list’s room context to the device’s parent room.

Improved Stair Selection

Refined stair selection boxes to make stairs easier to select and edit.

Floorplan Import and Export Access

Added convenient buttons for importing and exporting project floorplan data.
