Zircon3D Designer6. Creating View Profiles

View Profiles

View Profiles let you save a complete visualization state, including:

  • Camera angle
  • Active heatmap layers
  • Dashboard overlays
  • Floors shown
  • Visual style settings

View Profiles are the primary way to create reusable views for daily use and for embedding in Home Assistant.

Creating a View Profile

Open the View Profiles tab in the left sidebar (Designer Mode), then click + Add.

A View Profile includes four configuration sections:

Profile — View Name
General — Controls what appears in the view:

  • Active Heatmap Layer
  • Overlay Dashboard
  • Display unit (metric / imperial)
  • Color theme

Camera & Navigation — it captures:

  • Current camera angle
  • Location position
  • Pan/zoom/orbit state

This uses the exact view from the central 3D stage when saved.

Visual Style

Customize appearance:

  • Floor separation height
  • Object display mode (solid, transparent, white-out)
  • Wall & floor styles
  • Other layout visuals

Data Visualization

Floating Card Display:

  • Object Display
    • Detailed - Show all floating data cards
    • Compact - Show only the data cards related to the current heatmap selection
    • Hidden - Hide all floating data cards for a cleaner view
  • Show Action Cards - Show or hide action cards such as switches, cameras, and other interactive items
  • Enable Occlusion - Prevent floating cards and action cards from showing through floors or other blocking surfaces

Using Your View Profile

After saving, your view becomes available in two places:

  • On the Zircon3D main page, under the View Profiles section of your project
  • As a URL that can be embedded into your Home Assistant dashboard for personal use

View Profiles are the recommended way to create polished, consistent, and reusable monitoring views - ideal for daily checking, quick access, and Home Assistant dashboard integration.
