First Project
Now that your add-on is activated, you can create your first 3D home project.
1. Open Zircon3D
Select Zircon3D from the Home Assistant sidebar.
2. Create a New Project
Click + New Project.
(Optional) Enable Local Only if you don’t want to upload the floorplan to cloud.
Each new project starts with one empty floor.
3. Enter Designer Mode
Click Edit (top bar), or choose Edit → Open in New Tab.
This opens the full Zircon3D Designer workspace.
4. Add Rooms & Build Your Floorplan
- Open Building Parts (left panel)
- Select an existing floor or room
- Drag a room shape into the 3D workspace
- Move, resize, rotate rooms using the Position Helper
Rooms snap together automatically.
You may also add openings, dividers, and floors/buildings as needed.
5. Add Furniture & Objects
Switch to Objects Mode using the top bar or left sidebar.
Drag items (furniture, lights, doors, windows, stairs, etc.) onto your rooms.
6. Mount Sensors
Open Monitored (left panel).
Drag Home Assistant sensors or entities into the floorplan.
They update live as values change.
Your project is now ready for visualization.
