Privacy Policy for Zircon3D
Last updated: September 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Lichr Inc. ("Lichr," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information when you use Zircon3D, zircon3d.com, and related hosted services, applications, integrations, documentation, and support channels (collectively, the "Service").
Zircon3D is a platform for creating and operating interactive 3D floor plans, buildings, and monitored environments, including integrations with systems such as Home Assistant. Lichr Inc., a Canadian company, is responsible for the personal information described in this Policy unless a separate agreement states otherwise.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we collect the following categories:
- Account and profile information: your name, email address, account identifier, email-verification status, profile photo, authentication provider, account settings, and subscription or organization membership.
- Authentication and security information: authentication tokens, sign-in timestamps, access-token and license-token records, and information used to detect fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access. Passwords and third-party sign-in credentials are handled by our authentication provider; we do not receive your Google account password.
- Customer and Service data: groups, projects, floor plans, layouts, uploaded models or images, device mappings, integration settings, and IoT or building data that you choose to submit or connect to the Service. This information may include personal information depending on what you or your organization provides.
- Billing information: selected plan, subscription status, invoices, transaction records, and payment-provider customer identifiers. Payment details are submitted directly to our payment processor; Lichr does not store full payment-card numbers.
- Communications: messages and information you provide when you request support, report a problem, or otherwise contact us.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, approximate region, Service activity, diagnostic information, and cookie or local-storage identifiers.
2. How we receive information
We receive information:
- directly from you when you create an account, configure a project, subscribe, or contact us;
- from your organization if it creates or manages your access;
- from sign-in providers such as Google or GitHub when you choose to use them;
- from integrations that you direct Zircon3D to connect to; and
- automatically from browsers, devices, servers, logs, cookies, and analytics technologies.
3. Google Sign-In and Google user data
When you choose "Sign in with Google," Zircon3D uses Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication. Subject to the permissions shown to you during sign-in, Zircon3D receives your Google account's unique identifier, name, email address, email-verification status, and profile photo.
We use this information only to authenticate you, create or link your Zircon3D account, display your account profile, provide the Service you request, and protect the security of your account. Firebase-issued authentication tokens are sent to Zircon3D's application programming interfaces to validate authenticated requests.
Storage and retention of Google user data: Google and Firebase maintain the authentication record used to sign you in. Zircon3D stores your account identifier and the account and Service records needed to provide Zircon3D on infrastructure operated by Lichr and its service providers. We retain this data while your account is active and afterward only when reasonably necessary for the purposes and legal obligations described in Section 7.
Sharing of Google user data: we disclose Google user data to Google and Firebase for authentication and to infrastructure providers only to the extent needed to host, secure, and operate Zircon3D. We may also disclose it when you direct us to do so or when disclosure is required by law. We do not disclose Google user data to third parties for their advertising, marketing, data-brokerage, credit, or unrelated commercial purposes.
Protection and deletion of Google user data: we protect Google user data using encrypted network transport, authentication and access controls, and restricted administrative and service-provider access. You may request deletion by emailing contact@lichr.com, as described in Section 7.
Zircon3D does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, Google account password, or other Google services. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising, data brokerage, credit decisions, or training artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
Zircon3D's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create, authenticate, secure, and administer accounts;
- provide projects, visualizations, integrations, subscriptions, and other requested features;
- process subscriptions and maintain billing and transaction records;
- respond to support requests and communicate operational or security notices;
- monitor reliability, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and protect users and the Service;
- understand use of the Service and improve user-facing features; and
- comply with law, enforce our agreements, and establish or defend legal claims.
5. Cookies, local storage, and analytics
Zircon3D uses browser storage and similar technologies for sign-in, navigation, checkout state, security, preferences, and other functions necessary to operate the Service. Disabling these technologies may prevent some features from working.
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the website and Service are used. Firebase Analytics may process interaction events, device and browser information, identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, and related diagnostic information. We use analytics information to evaluate performance and improve Zircon3D, not to sell personal information or serve targeted advertising.
6. How we disclose information
We disclose information only as needed for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Authentication and analytics: Google and Firebase process authentication and analytics information for Zircon3D.
- Infrastructure providers: cloud hosting, storage, database, communications, monitoring, and security providers process information to operate and protect the Service.
- Payments: payment processors such as Stripe process payment and billing information and provide us with subscription and transaction status.
- User-directed integrations: we send information to a third-party service when you or your organization directs us to enable an integration.
- Professional and legal recipients: advisers, auditors, authorities, or other parties may receive information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or establish or defend legal claims.
- Business changes:information may be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable notice, consent, and confidentiality requirements. Any transfer of Google user data must also comply with Google's User Data Policy.
We do not sell personal information. We require service providers to protect the information they process for us and to use it only to provide their contracted services or as permitted by law.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain account information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, meet contractual obligations, comply with law, resolve disputes, maintain security, and prevent fraud or abuse. Customer and project data is retained while needed to provide the applicable Service or as directed by the customer that controls it. Billing and transaction records may be retained for legally required accounting and tax periods.
You may request deletion of your Zircon3D account and associated personal information by emailing contact@lichr.com. We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing the request. Following a verified request, we will delete or de-identify information that we are not required to retain. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until they expire under our backup-retention cycle.
You may revoke Zircon3D's Google access through your Google Account connections. Revocation prevents future Google authorization but does not by itself delete your Zircon3D account or information already retained under this Policy.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These measures include encrypted network transport, authentication and access controls, restricted provider access, monitoring, and backups. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International processing
Lichr is based in Canada, and Zircon3D and its service providers process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where those providers operate. These countries may have privacy laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we use contractual and other safeguards for international transfers.
10. Legal bases and privacy rights
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information to perform a contract with you, based on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, with consent, or to comply with legal obligations.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a privacy regulator. To exercise a right, contact us using the address below. We may verify your identity and may decline or limit a request where permitted by law. You may also update certain account details from your Zircon3D profile.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so that we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Service, our practices, or legal requirements. We will post the updated Policy at this URL and change the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use previously collected information, we will provide additional notice or seek consent where required by law.
